For the past few months I got the chance to work on Unconventional warfare levels, dressing up some of their scenes as level designer, concept artist and level artist. Here is a sneak peak of the work I did for them.
I also highly recommend to follow their game, I had a really great time playing the demo and I hope you’ll love it too (below is the description from their Patreon page) 😉
UW (Unconventional Warfare) is a top-down tactical shooter and adventure RPG where you lead a group of young soldiers through a war zone on a journey home. Form a squad of interesting and distinct characters. Their survival depends on your decisions. Feed, train, and command your soldiers and lead them home in one piece!
Softwares usedPhotoshop, Unity, SourceTree (GitHub), Blender 2.8
For this city in Khiimori’s land, I was tasked with level design, and level art. This town was meant to be of Taisho era influence. I was looking towards a calm, tranquil type of japanese town with its markets and fields in deep in the mountains.
Alruco, a port in Zmey territory, is one of the outpost town for commerce through maritime routes. Its port holds trades with many other cities and thrives thanks to the many exchanges the city gets from travelers and sellers. It is a dynamic place, with sea lovers and people looking for proximity with the sea.
For the Imon Mine, I was tasked with level design and concept arts. The challenge came from making a multi level mine while letting the player freedom of tactical choices.
